74 เพลงจากหนัง ผ่านคัดเลือกให้ชิงออสการ์สาขาเพลงประกอบภาพยนตร์
ออสการ์ประกาศออกมาครับว่าในปีที่ผ่านมานี้ มีเพลงจากหนังทั้งหมด 74 เพลง ของหนังราว 53 เรื่อง ที่มีคุณสมบัติผ่านให้พิจารณาลงคะแนนเพื่อเลือกเป็น 5 เพลง ที่จะได้เข้าชิงในการประกาศรางวัลครั้งที่ 88 นี้ครับ
ทั้ง 74 เพลง ไม่มี “One Kind of Love” ของไบรอัน วิลสัน จากหนัง Love & Mercy ที่ได้เข้าชิงรางวัลลูกโลกทองคำ โดยออสการ์ให้เหตุผลแค่ว่าคุณสมบัติไม่ผ่าน ซึ่งตามกฎแล้วก็คือต้องเป็นเพลงที่แต่งขึ้นมาทั้งคำร้องและทำนองเพื่อใช้ประกอบภาพยนตร์เท่านั้น และยังไม่เคยใช้ที่อื่นมาก่อน ทั้งยังต้องเป็นเพลงที่ถูกใช้ระหว่างหนังดำเนินเรื่อง หรือเพลงเปิดเรื่องจนถึงเพลงท้ายเครดิตเพลงแรก
หนังที่มีเพลงคุณสมบัติผ่านมากที่สุดคือ Salt Bridge หนังภาษาฮินดูที่มีทั้งหมด 7 เพลง รองลงมาก็คือหนังอนิเมชั่น Home กับหนังอินเดีย Jalam เรื่องละ 4 เพลง
เพลงเด่นๆ ที่ผ่านเข้ามาก็เช่น “Love Me Like You Do” จาก Fifty Shades of Grey, “See You Again” จาก Furious Seven, “Writing’s On The Wall” จาก Spectre และ “Simple Song #3” จาก Youth ที่ได้เข้าชิงรางวัลลูกโลกทองคำแล้ว แต่ออสการ์ก็เลือกเพลงเข้าชิงไม่ตรงกับลูกโลกทองคำอยู่บ่อย ดังนั้นทั้ง 4 เพลงนี้ก็อาจมีเพลงหลุดโผเข้าชิงไป โดยส่วนตัวอยากให้ “Who Can You Trust” จาก Spy และ “Fine On The Outside” จาก When Marnie Was There มีโอกาสที่ได้เข้าชิงด้วยครับ
คณะกรรมการสายดนตรีจะฟังและดูคลิปเพลงทั้ง 74 เพลงจากหนัง จากนั้นก็ลงคะแนนกันครับ โดย 5 เพลงที่ได้คะแนนสูงสุดก็จะได้เป็นผู้เข้าชิง ลองเดาดูครับว่าจะเป็น 5 เพลงไหน ใน 74 เพลงด้านในนี้
